The customer: About m3ter

Following a decade of experience in the usage-based pricing (UBP) space, founders John Griffin and Griffin Parry, established m3ter to help B2B software companies manage complex pricing by automating bill calculation, and sending the results to downstream systems. With m3ter, businesses can shorten billing cycles, eliminate revenue loss, and unblock product innovation.

The challenge: Relieving the compliance and engineering teams of onerous DDQ admin

With fast growth plans, m3ter was building its team for scale and wanted to get ahead of the pain of an increasing number of expected due diligence questionnaires (DDQs). With a manual process for managing these in place via Excel and Word documents, John Griffin, m3ter’s Co-Founder and Chief Revenue Officer and Greg Murphy, COO, were keen to avoid anything that would slow down the scaling or efficiency of the company.

Additionally, with many of m3ter’s customers working in regulated or security-focused industries, the compliance and engineering teams were fielding requests from prospects for access to policies and processes. This left them inundated with a lot of back and forth to ensure they had the documents prospects needed, creating additional tedious and manual work internally.

m3ter needed a solution that would solve for both pains in one platform:

  • Free up time for its internal teams by removing the burden of disruptive, repetitive and time-consuming tasks
  • Allow m3ter’s compliance and engineering teams to share certifications, documents, policies, and processes with prospects easily, without sacrificing its own security processes whilst ensuring a seamless experience for the prospect or customer

Following a successful pilot, Platformed was selected by m3ter as its partner of choice to unblock internal resources through its AI-powered risk management platform.

Through Platformed Respond, the AI-powered questionnaire platform, m3ter has been able to respond to DDQs in a fraction of the time previously spent. The team uploaded historical questionnaires via Platformed Graph, an ever-learning and automatically maintained knowledgebase that feeds into Platformed Respond and generates responses to DDQs in the company voice, learning and adapting to changes so that the latest information is always used.

Platformed Showcase is auto-generated based on uploads and edits to Platformed Graph, relieving m3ter’s teams of cumbersome administrative tasks to maintain a single source of truth.
